We are delighted to announce Stephen King as the new Chair of our Board.
Stephen is an experienced Chair who brings a wealth of experience of health services, including being the Deputy Chair of West Essex clinical commissioning group, the Chair of Trustees for the Stroke Association and a Trustee of Sightsavers International plus extensive Executive experience such as RNIB; all of which demonstrate a blend of health and commercial experience which will be invaluable for our journey.
Yvonne Taylor, Chief Executive of IC24 said: ‘We are delighted to be appointing a Chair with Stephen’s experience to lead and support the organisation in its next phase of the development of integrated urgent care services.
'Stephen has had particular success in respect of deploying technology to benefit patients and I know that he was particularly attracted to our ability to innovate using technology and he will be able to contribute to our continued progress not just in this domain, but across all our services.’
Stephen said: ‘I’m joining IC24 at a really exciting time for the organisation, as they embed and develop new technologies such as clinician to clinician video consultation and electronic prescribing in the urgent care setting.
'The Social Enterprise model is an excellent way of delivering NHS services and IC24 is a good example with its focus on using its resources to improve care for patients, developing its own people to make a positive difference in the communities it serves.'
Stephen joins IC24 the week commencing Monday 1 April.
