07/08/2023

We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of experienced healthcare leader Dr Patrick Brooke who has joined IC24 as our new Chief Medical Officer. Dr Brooke brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience, including Primary and Urgent Care, and will be a valuable addition to our leadership team.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Dr Andrew Catto said: “I am delighted that Dr Patrick Brooke has joined IC24 as our new Chief Medical Officer.

Together, we’ll continue to make a meaningful impact on our patients lives and I’m excited about the bright future ahead.

Dr Brooke will continue to build upon the excellent work our Interim Chief Medical Officer, Dr David Supple, achieved, and I would like to personally thank David for his unwavering commitment to our people and patients during his time in this role. We’re glad to have Dr Supple continue to work with us as our Director of Primary Care.

Over the coming weeks, Dr Brooke will be spending time getting to know our organisation and our people, so please say hello and make him feel welcome.”

Dr Brooke was equally as excited about joining our team, having this to say: “I am delighted to have been appointed as Chief Medical Officer for IC24. I studied medicine at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel and undertook my GP training in Wiltshire.

I was a GP partner in Newbury for 12 years before moving to the world of commissioning in the West Midlands in 2008. I have held several senior leadership roles in commissioning and provision and was accountable officer for Solihull CCG from 2012-2017.

Since 2018 I have worked as a medical leader in Integrated Urgent Care first for Vocare and then Greenbrook Healthcare. My key interests and experience are frailty, dementia and urgent care, particularly how system working, and greater integration can deliver improved quality of care and outcomes.

In my brief time with IC24 I have been overwhelmed by how talented, knowledgeable and friendly everyone is, thank you for making me feel so welcome. I feel confident that collectively we will continue to deliver great patient care and thus better outcomes for the people we serve.’’
