Providing NHS Services

NHS England and Improvement

In 2021 IC24 was selected as the host provider for a 12-month pilot to test the feasibility of a national paediatric clinical assessment service. This work forms part of a project to assess the impact of bringing paediatric expertise into the clinical assessment service and how we can better improve the experience of children who use NHS 111. The project will assess how specialist paediatric advice early in the patient’s pathway could impact on providing a swifter resolution for the patient and reducing the risk of the child being referred to Emergency Department (ED) or having an ambulance called.

It is a really exciting opportunity for IC24 to work alongside NHS England and Improvement's (NHSE/I) national teams and influence the design and delivery of a service that supports patients to receive the right care at the right time, preventing unnecessary ambulance call outs or Emergency Department attendance.
